Poll Display (VT)

Renders a Poll (VT) post field on the front end — the voting interface, results as progress bars, and the box for user-submitted options where the field allows them.

Enabled automatically with the field

Enabling the Poll (VT) post field switches this widget on for you, since the field has no other way to display. You can still toggle it under Voxel Toolkit → Widgets.

Setup

  1. Enable the Poll (VT) field under Voxel Toolkit → Post Fields.
  2. Add the field to a post type in Voxel → Post Types.
  3. Place Poll Display (VT) on that post type's single template in Elementor.
  4. Select which poll field to render.

Poll Settings

ControlPurpose
Select Poll FieldWhich Poll (VT) field on the post to render
Hide Element if No Poll Options ExistHide the widget entirely rather than showing an empty poll

Turn on "Hide Element if No Poll Options Exist"

Otherwise every post of that type renders an empty poll shell, including posts whose authors never set one up.

Text Settings

Every visible string is editable, so the poll reads naturally for your content and can be translated:

ControlDefault meaning
Vote (Singular)Label for a single vote
Votes (Plural)Label for multiple votes
Add Option PlaceholderPlaceholder in the user-submitted option box
Add Option Button TextButton that submits a new option
Total Votes TextThe total votes label

Styling

Elementor controls for the radio and checkbox inputs — size, border colour — plus the progress bars, option text, and totals.

The field decides whether voters pick one option or several; the widget renders radios or checkboxes to match.

Troubleshooting

The widget shows nothing

  • Confirm the post actually has a poll configured in its Poll (VT) field
  • Confirm Select Poll Field points at the right field
  • If Hide Element if No Poll Options Exist is on, an empty poll hides by design

The field isn't in the dropdown

The Poll (VT) field isn't on this post type. Add it under Voxel → Post Types, then reload the Elementor editor.

Users can't add options

User-submitted options are a field setting, not a widget setting. Enable it on the Poll (VT) field in the post type editor.

Votes aren't recording

Voting is tied to the post. Confirm you're viewing a real post rather than an Elementor preview, where there's no post context to vote against.
