Gallery Responsive Image Count

The Gallery (VX) widget's Number of images to load setting applies one tile count to every screen size. Six tiles that look right on desktop are cramped on a phone.

This function adds a device switcher to that setting, exactly like the one Columns already has, so you can show six tiles on desktop, four on tablet and two on mobile.

Always on

There's nothing to enable under Functions. The device switcher simply appears on the setting.

Using it

1. Edit a page or template with a Gallery (VX) widget
2. Open Content → Images
3. Select the device icon next to Number of images to load
4. Set a value per device

Existing galleries keep the count they already had as their desktop value, so nothing changes visually until you set a different value for another device.

The Elementor preview updates live as you switch devices.

The "+N more" overlay

The tile count decides which tile carries the "+N more" overlay and what number it shows, so both have to change with the breakpoint.

The gallery renders with every tile any breakpoint could need and is re-sliced for the current viewport: the badge lands on the right tile with the right count, and the grid pads correctly when a device asks for more tiles than there are images.

The lightbox always has everything

Tiles a breakpoint doesn't show stay in the page rather than being removed, so the lightbox contains the whole gallery on every device. A visitor on a phone seeing two tiles still swipes through all twelve images.

Custom breakpoints

Every active Elementor breakpoint gets a control, not just tablet and mobile. If your site has laptop, mobile extra, or widescreen breakpoints configured, they appear too, and values inherit downward the same way Elementor's own responsive controls do — set desktop and mobile, and tablet follows desktop until you give it a value of its own.

Notes

• If every breakpoint ends up with the same number, the function stays completely out of the way and Voxel renders the gallery exactly as it always did.
• The setting sits in its original position in the panel, directly above Image size.
