Built-in Search & Filters

The Calendar widget ships with its own lightweight filter bar — a keyword search box and taxonomy dropdowns rendered inside the calendar itself. Use it when you want simple filtering without adding a separate search form to the page.

Want Voxel's full filter system instead?

If you need location, date-range, relation or other Voxel filter types — or a search experience shared with a post feed — link the calendar to a Voxel Search Form. The built-in bar and the linked form solve different sizes of the same problem.

Switch on Enable Search to show a keyword box above the calendar. Typing filters the visible events by keyword (debounced, no reload). Customize the placeholder with Search Placeholder.

Taxonomy filters

Switch on Enable Filters and pick taxonomies under Filter Taxonomies — each becomes a dropdown of its terms above the calendar. Selecting a term narrows the calendar to matching events; dropdowns combine, so a visitor can filter by category and location tag at once.

Clear button

Show Clear Filters adds a button that resets the search box and every dropdown in one click.
